How We Work
Little Hearts Trust
The team at Little Hearts Trust (LHT) conducts free screening camps in villages to diagnose children with suspected heart disease because most heart conditions have fixable solutions, but if left untreated would be a death sentence. The foundation works exclusively out of Apollo Hospital, India’s top facility, to ensure quality treatment and services.
Subsidised financial assistance is arranged to cover costs such as travel, accommodation, procedures and ongoing treatment and medications required, for those who would not have the means, either financially or geographically to seek attention otherwise. The Trust also provides education around health and raises awareness in communities about CHD.
Continuous Medical Education (CME) programmes and courses are made available for doctors and support para-medical staff via grants to be educated and trained in this area of expertise so that they might diagnose and ultimately treat more patients.
